Stoke City: The hosts will be without forward Mame Diouf after he injured a shoulder in the 0-0 draw with Southampton last time out. Kevin Wimmer and Sadio Berhaino could return to the squad, providing they have proved their fitness after being places on special programmes to improve their fitness. Golkeeper Lee Grant (wrist) and midfielder Stephen Ireland (calf) remain sidelined.
Man City: Sergio Aguero will miss the game after being ruled out for two weeks due to a knee niggle. David Silva returns to contention after missing the Champions League loss to Basel for personal reasons. Fernandinho and Raheem Sterling are both thought to be close to returning following hamstring injuries and will be assessed ahead of this one. Fabian Delph is available after suspension, but is a doubt with a knock.
Stoke boss Paul Lambert:
"On any given day you can win a game of football. In a one-off game you can win, and that is the beauty of football. We'll do everything we can to try to win.
"If we try to play football the same way they do then we will be beat - that is the reality. We have to have an idea of another way to try to beat them."
Man City boss Pep Guardiola:
"It's almost done. But we are not the champions. The champions are still Chelsea. We have to get the points as soon as possible, knowing that we have the opportunity.
"I know everyone wants to anticipate the situation and what will happen, everyone is thinking about when we will win the title.
"But the best example was [on Wednesday]. Nobody thought we could lose against Basel and we lost against Basel. We need to be relaxed, stay calm and think about Stoke City."
