Speaking to 'Mundo Deportivo', the Brazilian attacker said: "The quality that there is in all the staff, it is amazing how you train, but what has surprised me most is the group that is in the locker room. It is a quiet group, we received all new players very well."
A big plus for Countinho has been his friendship with former Liverpool team mate Luis Suarez, who has helped him settle in very quickly. Another team mate whom Coutinho was very excited to play alongside was none other than Lionel Messi.
"It is something very special," he said when asked about playing with the Argentine. "They received me very well. They (Messi and Luis Suarez) are two great idols and being part of the team with them is a very good feeling, but not only with them, also with Andres (Iniesta) and with the rest."
Coutinho has hit the ground running, scoring his first goal in the Copa del Rey against Valencia before being given a starting berth in the La Liga game against Getafe on Sunday.
