Due to his poor scoring record against the leagues top clubs, the Belgian is yet to earn the nickname of a 'big game player.'
Whilst playing for West Brom and Everton, Lukaku faced the 'big six' on 57 occassions but only found the net 15 times.
Boss Jose Mourinho, however, is unphased by big Rom's statistics: "I don't measure the players' performances the same way you do. I have other points of analysis and I'm happy with Romelu's performance when he doesn't score goals."
Despite claims that Lukaku is having somewhat of an off season, the Belgian has managed to net 21 goals for his side. Nine less than Liverpool's man-in-form Mo Salah, but a sound tally nonetheless.
United face tough opposition in Chelsea on Sunday. Mourinho will be hoping that the trust he has put in his No. 9 pays off.
