After making the move from North to West London in January, Olivier Giroud is loving life in blue. Despite not getting off to the flying start he was hoping for, the Frenchman has scored four goals in his last five appearances, including a masterful solo goal against Southampton in the FA Cup semi-final.
Speaking to 'Sky Sports,' Wise said: "It's been great to see Giroud starting games.
"I think he's made a big impact over the last four games that he's played in and started and he makes a difference.
"It's gradually got us back into it - hopefully it's not too late," the former Chelsea player added, referring to the club's pursuit of a Champions League place.
With two games to go, it's still all to play for Conte's Blues. Currently just two points short of fourth place Tottenham, they'll need Giroud to be firing on all cylinders if they are to guarantee themselves a spot in Europe's premier club competition next year.
