Timo Werner showed why he is rapidly becoming Germany's first choice striker on Tuesday as he restored parity against France with a composed finish on the break.

Alexandre Lacazette had given the visitors the lead but Werner was on hand to score his seventh goal in just ten games for 'Die Mannschaft' to draw his side level.

With France caught out when piling men forward, Mesut Ozil was granted acres of space in the middle of the park and the Arsenal man burst forward before slipping Wener in down the left with a wonderful through ball.

There was never any doubt from that moments as the RB Leipzig man burst clear, before clinically tucking the ball beneath Steve Mandanda and into the back of the net.
