The former Malaga man spoke to the press, as he looked back at the ups and downs in his four-year stay at the Spanish capital.
Now a vital figure in Zidane's team, it wasn't always that way for Isco. The Spaniard was relegated to playing second fiddle early last season and Barcelona tried to take advantage of his situation to lure him into moving to the Camp Nou.
When asked if he took Barcelona's offer seriously, he responded clearly: 'Never. My idea was to succeed here, I have been through tough times, but that helps to savour the good times. I do not regret anything', he assured.
'There was contact, but I never listened. I wanted to succeed here, the objective is clear: to carry on improving and secure a starting place in the team', he added.
Isco signed a contract extension at Real Madrid which will keep him at the club until 2022, unless his release clause, of 700 million euros, is paid.
