Due to a heart condition, the 21-year-old striker will not play for the Premier League side, the club confirmed on it's official website. "Brighton & Hove Albion have withdrawn from the potential transfer of Raphael Dwamena, after the player failed the club's medical."
Dwamena's club FC Zurich then said in a statement: "Despite this unforeseen development, we are looking forward to the return of Raphael Dwamena and are convinced that he will again be fully committed to FC Zurich."
The striker scored 14 goals for Zurich after he joined the Swiss side from Austrian club Lustenau. For the Seagulls this is thesecond time that they have pulled out of a deal due to a player failling a medical.
