The 27-year-old was left behind as Spurs jetted off to the US for their pre-season tour but the Argentine is adamant that the former Newcastle man is still in his plans.
Sissoko enjoyed a fantastic European Championship with France last summer, convincing Spurs to splash £30m on him, however, 12 months and very little impact later it appeared that the club may be prepared to cut ties with the player.
Speaking following Spurs' 4-2 victory over PSG in the international Champions Cup, Pochettino said: "He's (Sissoko) training at the training ground. He's a member of the squad."
"He's in our plans for the season and he is for us a member of the squad."
That may be fortunate for Spurs as there doesn't seem to be an awful lot of interest in a player who made just eight Premier League starts last season.
