The rumours have been flying around for the past few weeks, but the Spanish giants have now made it official. They have reached an agreement with the Turkish side for the transfer of midfielder Arda Turan.
Through its website, Barca has published an official statement announcing the transfer of the 30-year-old to Istanbul Basaksehir for the remainder of this season, plus two more. The official statement from the Catalan club:
"FC Barcelona and Istanbul Basaksehir FK have reached an agreement for the transfer of player Arda Turan for the remainder of the season and two more, during this period FC Barcelona maintains the possibility of recalling the player during the transfer windows, and will receive a bonus depending on his performance, while Istanbul Basaksehir FK reserve the option to buy the player from FC Barcelona."
During his time at the Camp Nou, Arda has made 55 appearances and managed to socre 15 goals whilst winning various silverware: 1 League title, 2 Copa del Reys, 1 Spanish Super Cup, 1 Club World Cup and 1 European Super Cup.
The midfielder joined the team from Spanish rivals Atletico Madrid in 2015 and after two-and-a-half seasons wants to finish his career in his home country.
