Neymar Jr and Alexis Sanchez played together at Barcelona in the 2013/14 season, and the Brazilian wants to do so again at the Parc des Princes. As reported by 'Sport', Neymar has requested the Chilean's signing for next summer.
Reports in England suggest that Sanchez will not extend his stay at the Emirates and has the entire season to commit himself to one of the many suitors who have knocked at his door offering some highly profitable deals. Manchester City and Pep Guardiola looked to have taken the lead in negotiations, but the Parisians refuse to give up on making a swoop for the forward.
The Citizens put up to £20 million on the table as a signing-on bonus for the player but Paris Saint-Germain have upped their bid to £22.5 million.
Since his arrival in August, Neymar has taken the helm in Paris with PSG president Al-Khelaifi fearful of upsetting his superstar. The former Barca man has already made the decision to offload Edinson Cavani and has even taken it upon himself to identify a replacement.
Throughout the summer, Neymar and Dani Alves attempted to lure Sanchez. However, the switch never materialised and the Chilean remained in north London. With his contract coming to an end, next summer will be a whole different story.
