Odriozola is reportedly one of the main targets on Real Madrid's radar. The Spain international is continuing to impress at Real Sociedad, and his performances have caught the eye of Los Blancos, as well as rivals Barcelona.
However, it is the side from the Spanish capital who are leading the chase for the defender. Real Madrid owner Florentino Perez is willing to shell out the £36m required to release Odriozola from his contract, but the final decision reportedly falls to Zinedine Zidane.
The French coach can currently call upon Dani Carvajal and 18-year-old Achraf Hakimi on the right side of his defence. It all depends on whether Zidane trusts the young Moroccan defender to make the step up, and he reportedly will wait until the end ff the season before making a final decision on bringing in Odriozola.
The days of 'los Galacticos' are seemingly in the past at the Santiago Bernabeu, as Madrid want to continue their transfer policy of signing young promising Spanish players, to help them build for the future. Indeed, indications suggest that Odriozola could soon become a key player in the near future for the Spain national team.
Despite being just 21 years old, and the fierce competition in his position, Julen Lopetegui has already shown his trust in the Real Sociedad full-back by giving him his debut during the last set of international fixtures.
Now, the ball is seemingly in Zidane's court whether or not the defender will arrive at the Bernabeu before the start of next season.
