Lacazette has made a solid start to life in England, scoring five goals in 10 appearances in all competitions following a £46.5 million move from Lyon.
Mesut Ozil, who spent three seasons playing alongside Karim Benzema at the Bernabeu, feels the Gunners club-record signing can achieve big things like his compatriot.
"I think Lacazette's game is different," the German told SFR Sport when asked about the similarities presented by the two French forwards. "But I hope he will have as much success as Benzema. He has his head on his shoulders, he works hard."
Benzema has scored 182 goals in 375 appearances for Real Madrid, winning three Champions League trophies and two La Liga titles, and Ozil has backed his new teammate to have as much success.
"I hope he scores as many goals as Benzema with the French national team," Ozil concluded.
