The goalkeeper was the first one to speak, and he was quick to warn of the dangers of the Russian side: "They are quick players with a lot of quality, and are dangerous at home. It will be very difficult and for us it's important to progress as a team."
He also spoke about Kepa, the other promising goalkeeper in the Spain squad: "He's still very young. He's got his whole career ahead of him. His head is very settled but he must keep growing. When training with him, you realise his level and that he is a great goalkeeper. I'm also young and we always come with huge enthusiasm to help the side."
Finally, before passing over to Nacho, he spoke about a different type of football culture in Spain: "I think that the players who leave Spain are not paid as much attention as those who stay in Spain and people forget about us a little. The English culture cares for and loves its players a lot. We have to try harder to get noticed over here."
Nacho then spoke about the good feeling emanating around the Spanish dressing room at the moment: "The qualification stage went very well. Against Costa Rica we played at a very high level and now we need to keep on working."
On Italy's precarious situation with regard to qualification, the Real Madrid defender did not want to make any statements: "What's important is that we have qualified and we're very happy to have done it. The ones that qualify will be those who deserve it most."
Finally, he was asked about the large large number of defensive options in Lopetegui's latest squad: "That's another question for the boss. I guess it helps I can play in a number of positions. There's a lot of time between now and the World Cup and I have work to do for my club, where I'm getting a lot of opportunities to play."
