The Mexican winger, nicknamed 'Chucky', has scored 10 goals and provided five assists already this season, a tally that has put his name on the radar of numerous clubs in Europe.
In the interview, Lozano opened up about a potential move to the Spanish giants. He said: "Sign for Barcelona? I wish, god willing, we will see. I would like to play with Messi, he is a great player and for me a phenomenon.”
The 22-year-old also spoke of his admiration for English football: "I have always said I love the Premier League, but I also like La Liga".
If a move were to come to fruition, Lozano would be able to experience the Champions League firsthand. "It's a great competition, I would love to play in a tournament of that level," he added.
Despite being compared to footballing legends such as Romario and Brazilian Ronaldo, 'Chucky' has his head screwed on.
"I have to take it step by step and keep working, I have to keep improving and learning, I hope I can achieve something important like they did," he concluded.
