Manchester City secured a 16th successive Premier League win to extend their lead at the top of the table to 14 points, and manager Pep Guardiola explained why.
"What we believe now is that we trust each other,' Guardiola said. "When I give some opinions they follow us, and that is the dream for the manager."
"What is the most important thing is that, what we believe is the best way to play, they don't have doubts," he added after his side brushed aside Spurs at the Etihad on Saturday.
"They know that the manager and the staff and everybody wants the best for them, that is the best present, when you believe the players follow you," said the Spaniard. "Of course I am proud of my staff at the three teams [I have managed] to achieve what we have. We work a lot and the players know that."
"All of the three clubs - Barcelona, Bayern Munich and Manchester City - supported me, and in all the decisions they believe, and we have outstanding players," he said. "Without good players, when clubs support your ideas, it's impossible to achieve these types of runs."
