United scored three in the final six minutes at Old Trafford to move joint-top of the table with arch-rivals Manchester City, reaffirming their stance as the most prolific team late on in games.
Jose Mourinho's men have now scored nine goals in the last 15 minutes of matches in the Premier League so far this season, three ahead of City in second place and a huge seven ahead of third-placed Arsenal, Chelsea, Newcastle and Watford.
Superior fitness levels, variety of options off the bench, tactical tweaks, attribute it to what you like, United are to be feared as the clock ticks past the 75 minute mark.
To highlight just how impressive their record is, other than United only Manchester City have score more than nine goals in total so far this season, with champions Chelsea only managing eight so far, with London rivals Tottenham and Arsenal behind them on seven.
That means that effectively, United have scored more in just 15 minutes of games than some of the title favourites have in 90.
The 'Red Devils' scored two late on against West Ham, three against Swansea and one against Leicester before Sunday's strikes.
'Sky Sports' pundit Gary Neville believes the goals are down to the patience in United's play.
"There's a bit of a pattern building though, in terms of getting in front, being patient, waiting and sometimes even retreating with a couple of defensive substitutions," he explained. "Then the other team gets desperate, and United score goals late in the game, as has happened two or three times this season."
With United appearing to be finally ready to mount a serious title challenge once again and with late goals the order of the day, the club's fans could be forgiven for having flashbacks to the days of Sir Alex Ferguson.
