Dembele, the second most expensive player in the history of football, made a strong start to life at Barcelona but had his progress at the club halted by injury, while Asensio, whose left foot is already being compared to that of Lionel Messi, broke onto the scene towards the end of last season and is now a regular in the Real Madrid starting XI.
The French publication has released the following list of promising young talents: Dele Alli (Tottenham), Gabriel Jesus, (Manchester City), Leroy Sane (Manchester City), Mason Mount (Vitesse), Matthijs de Ligt (Ajax), Maximiliano Romero (Velez Sarsfield), Santiago Viera (Liverpool de Uruguay), Gianluigi Donnarumma (AC Milan), Kylian Mbappe (PSG), Vinicius (Flamengo/Real Madrid) and the already mentioned Dembele and Asensio.
Dembele is Barcelona’s only representative, while Asensio and Vinicius, who signed for Real in a €40 deal but is continuing his development at Flamengo, are there for 'Los Blancos'.
'France Football' also named Asensio and Mbappe as 'The New Monsters' of the game and praised them as the players who are at the "forefront of the world of football."
